Explain Pain

Following on from our previous blogs, we have another interesting video for you from David Butler of the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute.

David’s research has allowed us as clinicians and patients to understand more about the pain that we feel and why we feel it. Here he helps to explain our brains own way of dealing with it by using the drug cabinet within our brain.

For an informative yet light hearted approach to understanding your chronic pain, why not check out this video:

Chronic pain is something that many of us live with to a varying degree. Maybe we have tried all the “normal options” such as pain killers, surgery, exercise, physiotherapy, osteopathy or chiropractic treatment. This video helps to explain all the varying outside influences there are on the pain we feel. It also starts to explain how we can break through our pain and return to a happier life.

If you are interested in any of these topics or would like treatment for chronic or acute injury, contact us today on 07834 902364 and we can help.

We use a range of treatments from cranial therapy, osteopathic techniques and soft tissue release, to exercise therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. Your initial assessment will help us to understand which combination of therapy will help you.
